” On 10th july 2024, the reserve bank of india (rbi) issued a circular and has decided to expand the scope of norms related to remittances to international financial services centres (ifscs) at gujarat international finance tec-city (gift city) located in gandhinagar, gujarat under the liberalised remittance scheme (lrs). it has allowed authorised persons to provide remittances for availing financial services or products as per the international financial services centres authority (ifsca) act, 2019 within ifscs. rbi issued the new norms under sections 10(4) and 11(1) of the foreign exchange management act(fema), 1999 (42 of 1999) and are without prejudice to permissions or approvals, if any required under any other law.”
